Sterling

| Sterling is a beautiful,
still-largely-rural town, which is accessible via Rte. 190.
About 25% of its acreage has been acquired by the Metropolitan
District Commission (MDC), in order to protect the vulnerable
Wachusett Watershed region. In an effort to slow the pace
of development, the Town has increased its minimum residential
lot size to 2 acres. Ongoing land preservation efforts are
being coordinated by the citizen-sponsored Sterling
Land Trust. |
